RETURNS & REPLACEMENTS

All Litejoy products are manufactured to the highest standards and conform to safety laws and regulations. 

We guarantee that our products will be:

  •  - As described
  •  - Of satisfactory quality
  •  - Fit for purpose

Should any part of your Litejoy order be faulty, please return it to us within the warranty period including all parts and packaging, and our technical department will establish the cause of the fault. If the fault is reported within 30 days of purchase, we will offer you the choice of a replacement product or a refund. If your fault is reported after 30 days of purchase but within the warranty period, we will offer you an exchange. Litejoy requires all items that are reported as faulty to be returned before they are replaced, this allows us to investigate the cause of the problem and identify whether it is caused by a fault or by user error. In the event that a fault is identified, Litejoy will refund the postage costs for returning the faulty items to us. Unfortunately, Litejoy will not refund postage costs for items that are not faulty.

Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 law, all Litejoy products are subject to a 14 day cancellation period; this 14 day period begins the day after your item is received. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your unopened, unused product and wish to return it, you must email us at info@litejoy.co.uk with your return request within this 14 day period. You'll then have an additional 14 days to return the items to us or provide proof of posting. Any requests made after this time will be denied. The cost to return the item will be the responsibility of the customer and no delivery costs will be refunded.

WARRANTIES

In the event of any faults, Litejoy products are warranted as follows:

 

 Litejoy products including USB stick chargers, wall adapters and rechargeable cases are warranted for a period of 12 months.

 Litejoy batteries are consumable items and are warranted for a period of 60 days from purchase.

 Litejoy clearomisers are warranted for a period of 30 days from purchase.

 Litejoy cartridges, eliquids, disposable electronic cigarettes, eshishas and coil units are consumable items and are not covered by a warranty.

 

Any faulty items must be reported to info@litejoy.co.uk within the warranty period, and must be returned to: Litejoy Ltd, Unit 2, Forward Park, Sheene Road, Beaumont Leys, Leicester, LE4 1BF within 14 days of being reported, any items not returned within the time periods stated will result in the warranty being void and will be ineligible for support, replacement or refund. Only genuine Litejoy products will be eligible for support, replacement or refund. Items damaged through misuse or through use with incompatible parts will be exempt from this warranty.

Payment Security Checks

At Litejoy we take your payment security very seriously. If you choose to make your payment by card using the SagePay system, security checks will be performed to ensure that the person placing the order has authority to make payments using that card. For each payment made, SagePay will check certain information such as whether there is a purchase history on your card and whether your delivery details have been used previously. Each set of checks will generate a score which is used to confirm the security ‘risk’ associated with that payment. If the score is particularly high, we will ask you to provide further information in order to confirm your identity; this is usually a payment authorisation code which can be easily obtained by contacting your bank. Please don’t be offended if you’re asked for this additional information, we are completing these checks to protect you from unauthorised use of your payment details.

Responsibility for product use

You hereby take full responsibility for the use of your Litejoy product.

Litejoy electronic cigarettes, cartomisers and eliquids contain pharmaceutical grade nicotine (where advised), propylene glycol, vegetable glycerol, water and food grade flavouring. If you are taking medication or suffer from any medical conditions you should consult a doctor before using Litejoy products. In rare cases, ingredients may cause sensitivity, please do not use Litejoy products if you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed.

Litejoy products may contain nicotine which is an addictive, habit forming substance, and is a stimulant. Litejoy products may contain small pieces that can pose a potential choking risk.

All Litejoy products containing nicotine should be kept out of reach of children and animals as nicotine consumption can be fatal. Components can become hot if used excessively, are left in an open environment or if misused. Litejoy shall not be responsible for any loss, liability, damage (whether direct or indirect), harm, personal injury, medical condition, allergic reaction or expense of any nature whatsoever suffered by your or any third party as a result of using our products.

Litejoy products are not intended to treat, cure or prevent any illness or disease. Electronic cigarettes are an alternative to smoking and are not sold as a cessation method.

User generated content

By submitting material, images and communications to litejoy.co.uk, you confirm that you grant license for Litejoy to reproduce, translate, distribute and publish it for existing and future commercial purposes. You must not submit any content that is illegal, unlawful or infringes on a third parties’ legal rights.

Breaches of terms and conditions

If you breach our terms and conditions in any way, we have the right to take action as deemed appropriate and may at any time deny access to our website and/or bring legal action against you. Litejoy may terminate your account at any time if we believe you are partaking in fraudulent or illegal activity.

Modifications and revisions to terms and conditions

Litejoy has the right to change, modify or revise any aspect or feature of our website at any time without prior notification. By using our website you agree to be bound by any changes, modifications and revisions.

Shipping policy

We ship all orders through Royal Mail and DPD with tracking. Once your item has been dispatched, we will provide details to track your order and investigate any potential loss. If the Royal Mail is unable to deliver your product, it is your responsibility to arrange for redelivery of the item. Once the product is shown in tracking as delivered, Litejoy will not replace any goods reported as not received.

If you enter an incorrect shipping address on your order, you must advise us immediately by calling 0800 8498499. Litejoy cannot guarantee shipping and address changes but will endeavour to amend any requests.

WEEE & Waste Battery Directive

The WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Regulations are now a requirement by UK law. All European member states have agreed to reduce the amount of waste electrical and electronic equipment that is disposed of in landfill sites.

The majority of waste electrical and electronic equipment ends up in landfill sites which can pollute soil and contaminate water supplies. This contamination can cause harm to human health and the environment. Much of this discarded waste can either be recycled or reused. Encouraging the recycling of electrical goods also decreases the amount of waste being sent to already overfilled landfill sites freeing up space for other non-recyclable waste.

Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical and electronic equipment produced after 13th August 2005 should be marked with a crossed-out wheelie bin symbol. Goods displaying this symbol should be disposed of separately from normal household waste.

Retailers are responsible for providing a network of free disposable facilities for consumers for goods covered by the WEEE Regulations. Litejoy offers a free take back service for all end of life batteries, disposable e cigarettes and e shishas, rechargeable e cigarette batteries, ego clearomisers and chargers on a one for one basis, meaning when you buy 1 of these items, you can return 1 of the same product for us to dispose of safely and not in a landfill site.

The cost to return the item will be the responsibility of the customer.

Under the Waste Battery Regulations, Litejoy are now offering a take back scheme for all portable waste batteries. You can return your waste batteries to our business premises in person (please do not post).

Most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries will have collection bins for used batteries, and some town halls, libraries or schools may also set up collection points. End-users may find stores in their local area more accessible.

Alternatively, you can recycle your e cigarette equipment at your nearest recycling point which can be found at http://www.batteryback.org/battery-collection.html. 

Litejoy is registered with the Environmental Agency UK as a battery producer, Batteries Producer Registration Number (BPRN): BPRN04257.
